Rhossili Downs, is more famously known for the tidal island 'The Worms Head' at the tip of the Gower Peninsula. The first peak you reach but with the highest elevation at 200m Llanmadoc Hill, the second peak you reach has 186m of elevation but the views on offer are second to none! Cefn Bryn is the second-highest of the peaks standing at 188m. Its 5-mile-long ridge is often referred to locally as the 'backbone of Gower' as it protrudes from surrounding limestone. Beginning at the Worms Head, Rhosilli, the suggested route is 26.2 miles so you can tackle a full marathon as you navigate your way over the peaks and through the rolling fields the Gower has to offer. At each designated check-in point, ensure you collect your proof pages for validation at the finish line! Yes, you will actually have a page from a book to collect at each checkpoint! After a true test of endurance, you will finish off with your moment of glory and red carpet finish on the Worms Head. Rhosilli. With the course set in an Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty, this is a truly special adventure run offering an experience like no other! **Athletes with a registered disability will need to contact the race office to discuss whether the race is suitable and safe to enter.
